KCR Kit Plan is a highly significant initiative by the government of Telangana. This was launched on June 2, 2017, and put into effect from June 4, 2017 by Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao. Its primary mission is to furnish high-quality healthcare during maternity and after childbirth. Moreover, it seeks to encourage deliveries within public/government healthcare establishments, furnish newborn immunization, and curtail both maternal and infant mortality rates along with best healthcare facilities throughout pregnancy & post-delivery in govt. hospitals.
Amma Vodi scheme also provides free transport facilities in an ambulance to diagnostic services for regular check-ups and tests for pregnant women in Telengana. The vehicle will then drop the pregnant women back to their homes.

· The KCR Kit Scheme is a significant initiative introduced by the Telangana Government.

Benefits of KCR Kit Scheme
The KCR Kit Scheme offers a financial assistance of Rs. 12,000/- for the birth of a male child and Rs. 13,000/- for the birth of a female child.
Included within the KCR Kit are 16 essential items catering to the needs of both the mother and child, with an estimated total value of approximately Rs. 15,000.
The scheme aims to ensure comprehensive immunization for newborns and contribute to the reduction of both Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR).
Additionally, the scheme seeks to address the financial strain caused by wage loss during and after pregnancy.

Eligibility for KCR Kit Scheme
Eligibility Requirement, in order to access the advantages of the program, the beneficiary is required to fulfill the subsequent conditions:
- Residency Criterion: The beneficiary must be a resident of Telangana State along with a valid Aadhar Card issued exclusively by Telangana State, is an essential prerequisite.
- Maximum Childbirths Benefit: The beneficiary can take the benefit of this scheme for maximum 2 deliveries (pregnancies) only. If the beneficiary is a parent to more than two surviving children then she is not eligible for this scheme.
- If the beneficiary has taken treatment form any private hospital then she is not eligible for this scheme. Hence, treatment from Govt. hospital only is essential.
Registration Process for KCR Kit Scheme
Primary Health Center or Government Hospital: Beneficiaries are encouraged to initiate the enrollment process at their local Primary Health Center or any government medical establishment.
ASHA Workers: Alternatively, beneficiaries have the choice to provide their details to ASHA Workers, who will check if all the requirements of the form are fulfilled or not and can facilitate the registration proceedings.
During the registration phase, an extensive data collection endeavor is undertaken by either the Data Entry Operator (DEO) or the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM). This comprehensive data compilation includes vital particulars such as
· Aadhaar number
· Details like: name, address, age, phone number
· Last Menstrual Period (LMP) date
· Registration date
· Banking information.
